Rosalee A. Clawson is Interim Director of the Purdue Policy Research Institute and Professor of Political Science at Purdue University. Her research focuses on American politics, especially public opinion, mass media, and the politics of race, class, and gender. She is the author of three books and over twenty peer-reviewed articles. She is a founding co-editor of Politics, Groups, and Identities, and she will serve as President of Pi Sigma Alpha between 2018 and 2020. Her research has been funded by the Mellon Foundation, the National Science Foundation, the USDA, and the Spencer Foundation. She is a member of the Teaching Academy and was inducted into the Purdue University Book of Great Teachers in 2008. She served as department head between 2012 and 2018.
